1 package ground meat 2 pounds
12 idaho potatoes
2 onions
In a pot sautee an onion. When its a little brown add the meat and mix till its slighlty brown there should be no red left. .Dont overcook. add salt, pepper and onion powder.
In the meantime make the kugel recipe. I use this one https://www.allergic2allergies.com/blog_detail/34/ I use 1 cup hot oil, 1/4 cup hot water and one onion instead of what recipe says. Make sure to add salt and pepper to kugel.
Layer kugel then meat mixture then kugel on top.
Bake till crispy
This can be frozen after baked. Just pop in the oven frozen and uncovered when you want to rewarm it
