combo egg free kugel/meat dish

 

Ingredients

2 lbs ground meat

12 idaho potatoes

2 onions

Oil and spices

 

Directions

Sautee an onion in a pan. When the onion is a little brown, add the meat and mix until it's slighlty brown also. There should be no red left but be careful not to overcook. Add salt, pepper, and onion powder. 

 

While the meat is cooking, make the kugel batter. I use this one except for this dish I use 1 cup hot oil instead of 3/4 cup. Make sure to add salt and pepper to kugel also (besides for spicing the meat above)

 

Once meat is ready, layer kugel batter on bottom of aluminum pan, then put a layer of the meat mixture, and then another kugel layer on top.

 

Bake until crispy

 

This can be frozen after baked and then you can just pop it in the oven frozen and bake uncovered when you want to rewarm it
