Shepherd's pie

Ingredients:

1 large onion, diced

1 lb chopped meat

2-3 T flour or substitute with potato starch or corn starch (use half the amount when subbing with corn or potato starch)

1/4 -1/2 cup water (if the meat is fatty you can use the lesser amount)

Salt, pepper, paprika 

5-6 potatoes, cooked and mashed

 

Directions:

Saute onion in nice amount of oil. Put 1/2 aside for potato mixture

Brown meat with onions in frying pan

Add flour (or substitute) and spices

Pour in the water and cook until thickened

Mix potatoes with remaining onions. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Place meat mixture on bottom of 8" round pan. Spread potato mixture on top. Drizzle olive oil on top of potatoes.

Bake uncovered on 350 for 1 hour
