Egg Free Potato Latkas

Ingredients:

7 large potatoes

1 onion

oil for griddle

2- 2.5 tsp salt (depends on how salty you like it)

1/4 cup Boiling water

1/8 Tsp Pepper

 

Instructions:

Note: This recipe uses very large potatoes if you use smaller potatoes make sure to adjust the amount of salt accordingly.

 

Grate the onion and then the potatoes.

Add the boiling water, salt and pepper.

Warm up the oil in the griddle and pour the batter in. 

The best food processer is a Braun. The kugel blade will make the consistency the best.

If you are using the S blade or a different machine you might need to add a binder. Some people use Zuchini or potato starch.

This freezes beautifully.
